Luke 2:19 But Mary kept all these things and pondereth them in her heart.

Of course I love the beginning of this chapter, but this verse has always screamed out at me! To be Mary...

she has recently been betrothed...

she has been visited by angels...

she has to face her betrothed and tell him that she is pregnant...

she faces the scorn of her village because she is pregnant...

she may not completely understand who the child she is carrying is...

I also think a lot about Joseph...

These are thoughts that pop into my head as I read through these first chapters of Luke. I crave more information on who they are. What did they think? Was their faith steadfast and immovable or did they have some questions about all this?

I love that this verse gives me a glimpse that Mary and Joseph were real. They had some things to "think" about with this situation, as we all would have things to think about in this situation!
